8h30-12h cours de langue with Chantal... grammar
12h Pates Fraiches, bolognese with tagatallia... needs more salt
12h30-13h30 “english table” where non-anglophones speak with natives to practice english... there were 5 or 6 kansas students, 2 mexicans, 1 morroccan, 1 brazilian, 1 scot, 2 french, 1 venezuelan
13h30-16h cours de langue... but fortunately, instead of grammar, we spent the whole time talking about politics, movies and I got to explain how facebook works.... in french and showed chantal my page, my pics and a few dance videos...
16h30 grocery shopped at the store next to subway.... perfectly ripe avocados.... and torilla chips!! quelle chance!
17h successfully made guacamole with no fresh peppers!
19h made fancy-pants sandwiches for me, anthony and cheny.... emental, ham, sliced sausage, lettuce, tomato, dijon, and a fried egg on sliced brioche... yum!

ReplyDeleteNot sure if you have found it yet, but there is a better grocery store called Simply close to the apt. If you take boulevard lafayette to cours sablon, then go left past the park you can see where there is a big bridge. If you walk on cours sablon under the bridge it dead ends into a Simply Market. It is a pretty good grocery store closer to the apt. They usually have peppers too.
