All we do is eat

7h get packed and ready for our last day in lyon
10h Mall
16h Train
18h Home
19h Carrefour
19h30 get kicked out of Carrefour... when a business in france says it closes at 20h.. it means that all the employees will be home by 20h
19h45 cook diner to unwind.. spaghetti, bolognese, green beans
20h30 realize there's a test tomorrow.. yay...
00h sleep is hard to come by... think i caught a nasty cold in lyon

15h take test
17h cheny makes lentiles "dip", sauted chicken, tomato garnish and rice.. super delicious
21h-22h went to pay first month's rent.. back into the haunted house for another crazy adventure
00h whooping cough.. yikes

8h30 class... the best part about french class is that every subject is applicable. for example, when i spilled water all over me and the desk and the floor and my homework, i got to learn words like "to spill", "to be clumsy", "blow dryer", "messy" etc
12h worked on govt project, tous les trois, after class

12h20 rushed home for cheny's gnocchi lunch!! since julia is allergic to all nuts (except peanuts) cheny made nutless pesto with cream and gnocci and toasted baguette.. julia, jenny, lisa brought salad... i made dressing.. mm mmm good!
15h nap/whooping cough
17h admin: update french email, update grades, update par ci update par la...
18h invite richard, who is still electricity-less, heat-less and hot water-less, for diner and a slumber party
20h30 i saute salmon, boil chicken, cheny makes super flavorful rice and we sear and season the boiled chicken together... we also butter up some more baguette and mange away..
22h30 more admin, one nyquil, and off to bed

boiled chicken finished/lightly seared in the pan


cheny's rice
saute the dried rice with butter, onions and garlic (finely chopped potatoes as well)
add water and bring to boil, set on low 15-20 min
add butter..... and let the bottom turn into a crispy crust

8h30-17h grammar, culture, french govt, anthony parker and i present on us govt... my first french power point! super! theres a job fair at school that non of the french trackers are ready for... surprise... must translate CV and lettre de motivation asap!!

19h30 make creamy and delicious pasta
sautéed onions, garlic, mushrooms, tomatoes, baby shrimp
salt, pepper and fresh parsley to taste
added cream to thicken, pasta water to loosen
crushed red pepper for spice
lots of butter and a bit of EVOO
boiled the bow-tie pasta in chicken stock
