9h meet everyone at school for the hike!!
9h30 get 2 cabs for puy de dome... apparently if you say puy de dome and not puuuuuuuy de dome, it sounds like poledome which is a concert hall... we almost went to a concert hall.. oops
10h arrive at the base of puuuuuuy de dome
11h reach the summit.. steep steep steepyness.. im definitely holdin down the back because i am new to this hiking thing... but the view are sooo beautiful!
12h-13h have lunch at the top and sun bathe a bit.. most beautiful, warm day yet..
13h15 start to head back.. lisa, the energizer bunny going going gone!... halfway down my purse breaks.. second one this week.. oh well.. guess i will have to go shopping!
13h30-16h walk and walk and walk and walk and walk and walk and walk... 12miles.. personal best.. super proud of myself!!
16h lisa and anthony are waiting for us at a cafe in jaude, but btw my broken purse, my 8 layers including the eskimo jacket, and my jello legs.. home was a better option
16h30 go grocery shopping with cheny
17h shower... melt aways some of the aches
17h30-20h30 cook cook cook.. cheny makes the apps... cuban sandwiches, real live salsa.. morter and pestle.. wow, lentilles and mango snacks... i make spicy spaghetti bolognese, green beans and garlic butter toasted baguette
21h everyone shows up.. eats... drinks.. laughs.. tells stories in some mix of english, french and spanish... and sometimes sign language..
22h30 we all devour victor's peach cake.. which is delicious!! its like vanilla pound cake with fresh peaches on top.. amazing
23h watch the count of monte cristo... dubbed in french, with spanish subtitles.. that was interesting
00h everyone goes home except claudine
1h try to make it to five.. no go.. stay up and chat with claudine for an hour or so
