8h get ready to go to the prefecture.. last step in being legal in france
8h45 go to buy a tram ticket... some crazy man spits at me.. whtever.. there are always crazy people when the weather changes
8h55 get on tram.. realize 10min later i am going the wrong direction.. awesome
9h20 get to place jaude.. follow noah's directions to the correct prefecture.. yes there are two and yes they both have the same exact address, except one is in chamalier.. 15 min away..
9h25 find the magic assembly line ticket box and pressed the pay for your stamp button, first in line, give the woman my credit card, explain that its american and you have to swipe it differently.. she doesnt get it.. then when she does get it, she swears that the machine can't do it.. which is what ppl tell me all the time, then i take the machine from them, swipe my card and... like magic it works and the receipt prints out.. but now im behind glass.. so i convince in the politess french i could muster to at least try it.. so she swipes it.. upside down and yells that it doesnt work.. not a big deal.. ill get out cash
9h40 atm one.. wont take my card
9h45 atm two.. wont take my card
9h50 atm three.. ta da.. 60 euros later im back on track!
10h get another pay for your stamp ticket.. give the woman cash
10h10 get a ticket for the actual visa... oh right the reason im here
10h15 follow noah's directions to the american second floor which is the french first floor and wait
10h30 and wait
10h40 and wait
10h45 and decide to ask someone... because although i see an OFII sign and another giant sign that says FOREIGNERS.. i still have doubts that this will work
10h50 go up to the 3rd/2nd floor and find some woman using a copy machine and tell here im lost.. she takes me to her office and in 10 min i have a 100% legit completed legal visa! she even apologized for taking so long.. which was clearly ironic
11h30 make it back home and realize that getting to class at 11h45 when it ends at 12h is not productive

15h-19h30 laid out in the sun at a cafe in jaude with anthony and parker... anthony left... parker left... julia, jenny, lisa, and mike came.. then claudine came... i just laid out.. drink coke and ate ice cream.. it was awesome.. despite the funny tan lines
17h decide to eat at a resto with the group, since i left my carrier pigeon chez moi, run to noah and anthony's apt to share the news.. no boys.. so leave a note
21h after much walking, talking, lolly gagging... end up at the giant tavern with everyone for dinner
21h30 best salad in a while!

22h30 leave with claudine to some french party
23h play the strangest drinking game ever.. everyone changes their name to the name of the person to their left, there is a deck of cards face down on a table, if you pick a red one the person to your right and left drink, if you pick a black card no one drinks, if you pick a face card you decide how many gulps everyone takes and everyone changes places, and changes names again, if you call someone by their real name you drink, if you hold the glass in your dominant hand you drink
23h30 they ran out of alcohol... apparently you can order alcohol like pizza.. so thats new
